BordCo Handmade Wooden Lapdesk - Multiple and Custom Sizes and Finishes

THE LOOK & FEEL:

This maple plywood Lapbord was designed with absolute intention.  It's shape, although fun and gorgeous, serves a very specific purpose.

The concave curve allows for comfortable positioning with the body. On each side of that curve, the lines bend back toward the bord, giving it it's surfboard shape. This also allows free, and comfortable movement of the wrists as you type, eat, paint, game, draw, and read. Yes, we've done all of these and more on these versatile puppies.

The minimalist design incorporates a surfboard shape that removes excess surface area, while retaining ample bord space for your mouse, mobile, and more (depending on size). It's only 1/2 an inch thick which means this little baby can easily be stowed away under the couch, or bed, or even taken on trips. I have traveled with one of these many times including to the beach. It makes a great table.

Note - The Boogie Bord can fit inside most bags and backpacks.

I designed this bord because other lap desks that I'd used just didn't cut it.  They were either too big, too clumsy, too many moving parts, too weak, too ugly etc... Plus, none of them fit well on my lap in any sofa, chair, bed, or car. I found their foam pads on the bottom cumbersome and quite uncomfortable.

So, the Lapbord was born.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

This Lapbord comes in five sizes. It is sanded smooth and gets several layers of clear coat if you choose, or you can opt for the unfinished option which is still sanded very smooth and ready for you to finish or simply use. Images in this listing that contain graphic decals on the bords are to display the bord only.

SHIPPING:

FINISH OPTIONS:

- Unfinished: Each bord will be sanded smooth to 400 grit.
- Clear Coat Finish: Each bord gets fully coated in water-based polyurethane. The top of the bord will get multiple layers of poly, and polished to a buttery smooth finish. This will provide a very durable and long-lasting finish that makes the bord stronger and adds a beautiful touch.
